iOS 6.1 Released, UnTethered Jailbreak to Follow – Yesterday, following their Saturday release of iOS 6.1 beta 5, Apple issued the new iOS 6.1 firmware to the public. Apple’s latest iOS update includes additional Siri functionality, which enables ticket purchases via Fandango for the avid moviegoer, the ability to download individual songs through iTunes Match, further LTE (long term evolution) support for carriers and the addition of a button that resets the “Advertising Identifier”.

The release notes from Apple’s OTA (over the air) update portion of the settings app are listed below:

With the newly-released 6.1, the evad3rs Dev Team have what they need to complete development of the UnTethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak. If all goes according to plan, a new utility should be released this week.
