Finally, in light of the fact that the iOS 8 beta 3 install process is virtually identical to that of beta 2 and 1’s, we’re simply going to link readers to our detailed beta 1 tutorial and highlight the work required prior to updating in today’s article.

  1. Backup your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch inside iTunes, this includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, 5, 4s, 4, the iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, 3, 4 and the 5th generation iPod touch.
  2. Restore to the latest public firmware, which is currently iOS 7.1.2 (this is a necessity).
  3. Initiate a restore from the backup that was created when following the first step of this guide.
  4. Navigate to our detailed 8.0 beta 1 guidefollow the iOS 8 update procedure highlighted in said guide, and then return to this article for important post-update steps.
  5. Once the update completes, immediately disconnect your iPhone, iPod or iPad from your computer and avoid connecting to iTunes in the future to circumvent activation errors.
  6. Reboot to ensure that your device doesn’t experience any of the errors previously mentioned in the fifth step.

Hypothetically speaking, the completion of the above steps will officially install iOS 8 beta 2 on any iPad, iPhone or iPod touch model previously running iOS 7.1.2.

In light of the new software this will give jailbreak developers unhindered access to ios 8 files and also give them extra time to create a jailbreak to be released weeks or even days after the offical public release. Some people just want to play with the new software.
