Jailbreak 6.1.3 iOS Semi Untethered iPhone 4, 3GS and iPod touch 4G
Earlier this week, a popular jailbreak tutorial creator named iCrackUriDevice created and published a new and more in-depth iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak guide for older A4-powered devices using redsn0w. Unfortunately, as with our past 6.1.3 articles, this jailbreak remains exclusive to the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and the iPod touch 4G - it’s also a Tethered jailbreak and will require more work than the incredibly-simple evasi0n utility. Thankfully though, if you own a newer device like the iPhone 5 or the iPad mini on a previous version of iOS 6 (including 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1, 6.1.1 and 6.1.2), you can still achieve a fully UnTethered jailbreak by following our evasi0n jailbreak 6.1.2 tutorial, as it still includes support for older firmwares.
As mentioned above, the Redsn0w 6.1.3 Jailbreak is compatible with the following iPhone and iPod touch models running iOS 6.1.3.
- iPhone 4 (both GSM and CMDA models)
- iPhone 3GS
- iPod touch 4th generation
Although the following newer iOS devices are incompatible with this jailbreak for 6.1.3, they can still jailbreak on previous versions of iOS 6.
- iPhone 4S
- iPad mini
- iPod touch 5th generation
- iPad 4 powered by Apple’s A6X chip and Retina display
- iPad 3
- iPad 2
In spite of the fact that this is a refresher tutorial, all news related to future jailbreak utilities can be found in our evasion jailbreak 6.1.3 category archive. Moreover, iCrackUriDevices video, which is embedded below, contains an advanced explanation of why newer devices aren’t supported in the latest, and only, 6.1.3 jailbreak.
Jailbreak 6.1.3 iOS Semi Untethered With Redsn0w 0.9.15b3
Step 1: Download both the Redsn0w jailbreak 6.1.3 tool and the corresponding iOS 6.0 IPSW for your device, both can be found in this article’s download section, which is below.
Step 2: After Redsnow has successfully downloaded, if you’re on a Windows-based PC, right click the utility, set compatibility mode to Windows XP Service Pack 2 and grant the program administrative privileges. Mac users needn’t worry about compatibility, they can skip to the third step.
Step 3: With Redsn0w open, navigate to Extras and then Select IPSW. In the selection window that pops up, point the jailbreak utility at the iOS 6.0 IPSW downloaded in the first step, not 6.1.3. Once the firmware file has been properly identified, click back to the main Redsnow menu.
Step 4: Proceed to jailbreaking by clicking the main Jailbreak button. After ensuring that the option to Install Cydia was checked by default, proceed to the next screen.
Step 5: Once you’ve reached this point, Redsn0w will suggest turning off your device prior to entering DFU mode, however, it’s possible to bypass this stage and simplify the process. Plug your iPhone or iPod touch into your computer via a standard 30-pin USB cable and continue to the sixth step.
Step 6: Press and hold both the home and power buttons together for a total of ten seconds. Once exactly ten seconds has passed, release the top power button and continue to hold the home button for an additional ten seconds - remember, DFU mode is simply a black screen.
Step 7: If DFU mode was entered correctly, redsn0w will automatically proceed to the jailbreak process. Wait for your device to be jailbroken and to reboot, once it has, you’ll be required to boot tethered.
How To Boot Tethered On iOS 6.1.3 - iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4th Generation
Unfortunately, due to the tethered nature of Redsn0w, users must boot tethered for Cydia to appear and also every time the device reboots or powers off. To boot an iPhone or iPod touch Tethered, simply open RedSn0w, click Extras, followed by Select IPSW, point the selection window at iOS 6.0 and select the top option to Just Boot.

Your download link for RedSnow tried to plant malicious things in my browser. The program itself attempts to autoinstall not only a bunch of bloatware, but I caught and quarantined five different trojans during install. Shame on you, and fuck you too.
Please help, i followed all instructions and got to the part where the iPhone’s screen is black with lots of small wording flowing down the screen very quickly. However, after only a short amount of time, the words “Please wait…” start to endlessly flow down the left side of the screen and never stop. The only way to stop is it to reboot my device normally and then it boots as if never jailbroken. Thanks

First off with windows 7 right click the redsn0w application 2. go to properties 3. click the compatibility tab and use “Windows XP (Service Pack 2) then click the “run as administrator” box under privilege level. 4. apply the new settings 5. The reason why you downlaod the 6.0 is because your tricking your device into thnking its on 6.0 when its really 6.1.3 and you cant jailbreak any iphone above the 4

Hey, what am I doing wrong? I can get all the way up to Step 6, but then when I hold it in for 10 secs and then another 10 secs it gets stuck and says. “Please wait while your build is being processed.” and, “Uploading First Stage.” It looks nothing like your video but I did everything you did. I have an iPod 4G with iOS 6.1.3, I ran as administrator and I changed it to that Pack 2 thingy and it’s still now working. Help!! I only have an 8gb with a little space left. Does it need a lot of space to jailbreak it?

Well i restored my Iphone3GS “acidentaly” with itunes (first time iphone user), it was jailbroken before and i didnt know that clearly it was the worst thing i could do. anyways when it is originaly restored it wont activate i tried this jailbreak and with a bit of luck and some time i did it but the iphone didnt want to accept any sim card, apps working but cant call with it. That represents a hufe problem for me. Is there any way to activate it without jailbreak or any way i can fix this little bug of mine. Any help or advice would be highly appreciated.

Well I was having a portion of hope because I have been working on a Iphone 4s and after learning about the Iphone 6.1.3 is a mess, Evasion I want to thank you for the previous Jailbreaks but you guys left us hanging like a hooker at Sunday service… Sad but true but I know one thing I am done with Apple products this is a shameful event to even think your confident about Apple. This is why I call it Crapple.
