Earlier this month, p0sixninja and MusclNerd openly argued on Twitter regarding the future of jailbreaking and MuscleNerd lectured p0sixninja about misinforming followers. Unfortunately, as most are already aware at this point, there isn’t a public tool to jailbreak 6.1.3 (or even 6.1.4 in the case of the iPhone 5) on new devices like the iPad 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini or the iPod touch 5th generation. However, both p0sixninja and the evad3rs (the Dev Team that released evasi0n to the world) are planning on releasing future iOS 7 jailbreak utilities.
Although it was somewhat unclear in p0sixninja’s last few tweets of interest, he’s since confirmed that the public can still expect a release.

Last night, the famed hacker sent the above tweet to his followers - using a sarcastic undertone, p0sixninja reiterated what we at Jailbreak Evasi0n have been saying since iOS 6.1.3’s release. The type of people who criticize others blindly and impatiently screech and demand for what they want are the type of people who deserve not to get it. I, along with others, am 100% certain that the jailbreak for iOS 7 will not be released until AFTER iOS 7 has been publicly released. There will be no jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 either as if it is released it will only diminish the chances of an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 in the future. If we’re lucky they’ll release a jailbreak for those two firmwares for the unsupported devices
First note. They get paid for jailbreaks, don’t be a fool. Many take sponsors from website and others take money from well known people wanting one. Also they get paid for researching all of this, then come the interviews, early release interviews. They get paid don’t be stupid, who would do this much work for free? They sure don’t, new jailbreak will be the same as the last one. Slow, buggy, random errors and so on and so on. Good luck waiting apple has already covered what 90% of used to jailbreak for tweaks. While I appreciate your effort. They aren’t paid. The only money they get goes toward testing devices. Seriously. They get investors to loan us money. Then, that money is spent on testing devices. An A4, an A4 Rev A, an A5, an A5 Rev A, an A5X, and A5 Rev B, an A6, an A6X. It’s not cheap. The money from donations goes towards paying back the investors. That’s how it works.

It might be made available after iOS 7 is released (most likely late September or early October). This is because developers do not want Apple to patch any jailbreak exploits until after iOS 7 has been publicly released. It might be a long wait, but this will allow iOS 7 users to have a better chance at jailbreaking.
Be quiet and respect the devs’ work - the work that they take months upon months to work on and then release for free to please spoilt, ungrateful brats like yourself. They are not Apple. They can’t just spontaneously release jailbreaks whenever there is demand. Be thankful that such selfless, intelligent people exist. They are not obliged or paid to do what they do.

download a program called sn0wbreeze. if you have iOS 6.1.3, download that firmware to your computer. open up sn0wbreeze. go through it’s initial stuff, then search for IPSW and select the one for iOS 6.1.3 it will then create a custom IPSW (it takes a while though) that you save to your computer. then you will need to put your device into pwnd DFU mode and open iTunes. it will say you have to restore your device. say ok but on the screen where you click “restore device” hold down SHIFT as you click restore. then select the IPSW that sn0wbreeze made for you. after iTunes restores your device to this new firmware, you will have to re-download a previous backup of your device so BACK IT UP BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THIS. then use a program called iBooty (sn0wbreeze should tell you how to download it) and this program will boot your device in the tethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 it takes about an hour to two hours for this entire process. it is so easy though; about 98% of that time is waiting for things to download, restore, install, reboot, whatever. good luck!

This method uses the limera1n exploit and only works of iPhone 4 and older, 4s and up are out of luck.
It’s pretty difficult for 6.1.3, faggot. They already stated that 6.1.3 fixed a lot of the jailbreak exploits, so they would wait until 7.0 was released. Don’t act so entitled, you 7 year old shit.
I am new to the jailbreaking softwares available, as probably many others that want to jailbreak their ipad for the first time. I just want to point out that there is a lot of scam website or even some known jailbreaking software’s website seem to be advirtising a jailbreak download for all devices 6.1.3. I am always skeptical and read up on it, but for non-tech savy people, it must be hard to not be confused. sorry for bad writing, I’m a frenchie

I have a problem and don’t know how to fix it: I have an iPhone 4S running 6.1.2 Jailbroken with Evasi0n for several months now with no issues. A couple weeks ago we went to TN to visit family and my phone went to Edge Network (AT&T) and got stuck. I’m home now and always have super fast 4G service here in FL but its still stuck on Edge. I’ve done the network reset and a hard reset with no fix, and I don’t have a 3G toggle in my settings. Everything I’ve read online says to reset device to factory settings but I don’t want to lose my jailbreak. Has anyone else had this problem? And any suggestions on how to fix this so that I don’t lose my jailbreak?? Thanks in advance…… Sara

How do I do a semi restore?
Have you tried to power-off your iPhone and then back on? A few days ago I was in a situation were my iPhone didn’t show any signal bars, no service, I did that restart it and that solved my problem.
Yep, I powered it on and off and done a hard reset several times….and nothing!
try backing up then do a restore to backup. you wont lose the jailbreak

Try removing your SIM card, then reboot your iPhone and replace the card. If you don’t have a 3G toggle, that’s unusual. Did you do anything in particular that caused this problem to happen?
I tried that just now twice still keeps coming back to edge network. I don’t know why I don’t have a 3G toggle, very strange. No, I didn’t do anything… I had 4G all the way to TN from FL but I didn’t have good service at my in laws and it kept switching from no service to Edge for the week we were there. I noticed traveling home and once I got back that I never got anything but Edge and a week later its still stuck. I read online that others had the same problem with iOS 6.0 and even on some of the iPhone 5. Only thing I seen that anyone posted that fixed the problem was a complete reset which I’m trying to avoid but its not looking good so far! I appreciate everyone’s help thus far tho!

I just bought my 12 yr old son the Galaxy S4 and albeit a nice phone, I would never trade my jailbroken iPhone for another Android, (even if it is stuck on edge network…. ) EVER! BEEN THERE DONE THAT, won’t make that mistake TWICE! Android is great for the first couple months then it lags and slows and all out SUCKS!
Hey Sara , there is a tool released a few weeks ago semi-restore it lets you restore without losing jailbreak ! DO NOT RESTORE WITH ITUNES ! Been there done that ! It isnt worth losing jailbreak now ! P.S did you try turning the 3g option off and on in settings-> general—> cellular—> 4g,3g,Lte,… And be sure to turn off and on cellular data to ! Peace 😉

Hello Sarah, I live in London and had a similar problem with the iPhone 5. It’s has nothing to do with your jailbreak. I called my network provider, and they gave me this simple steps to follow Settings>carrier> turn off automatic and wait for you provide to appear. Tap on the provider. It worked for me

No apple and iphone are beginning to suck hard. Androids are pretty sweet without having to jailbreak them, and if you have one that’s jail broken, it’s even better. All my iphone is now it an expensive paperweight.

The older devices that support iOS 6 (iPhone 4, iPod touch 4th gen, and iPhone 3GS) can be jailbroken semi-untethered. However, it’s the newer devices (iPad 2 and newer, iPhone 4S and newer, and 5th gen iPod touch) that cannot be jailbroken at all.
you must be living under a rock. any devices with the a4 processor can be jailbroken semi tethered. BUT, do not count on the semi tether working because it doesnt work for me anymore

I’m such an idiot!! I just paid for a jailbreak that clearly said it was for the 6.1.3 for the 4s. Went to download it and it then said it was only for 6.1.2. Ugh! There is no jailbreak for iPhone 4S if you are on iOS 6.1.3. You’ll have to wait until iOS 7 is released. Sorry. :\ The difference between tethered and untethered: if you have a ‘tethered jailbreak’ and you turn off your iPhone (or if it runs out of battery), you need to connect it to a computer and run a ‘tethered boot’ using a program called redsn0w. If you have a ‘semi-untethered’ jailbreak, you can reboot your iPhone without redsn0w, but it will only have limited functionality until you actually do tether boot it. If you have an ‘untethered’ jailbreak, you can reboot your iPhone without any problems or worries about needing redsn0w. Thus, you can see why an untethered jailbreak is so valuable to so many people.

I was forced but I don’t blame others or cry about the absence of a jb for ios6.1.4 or ios7.0 yet. I am enjoying the hell out of ios 7 though and knowing that sometime in October or as late as April (as was the case with the long wait for an ios 6 jb. Had to wait for ios 6 to mature) a jailbreak will be available.

Alot of people got updated to ios 6.1.3/6.1.4 due to something not expected like a bootloop from a broken package. my bootloop was so bad i couldnt boot into safemode or boot it with redsn0w. That semi untethered jb is for older iDevices only and doesn’t work on iPhone 4S or iphone 5. But I agree, people need to stop crying. The dumbest thing I’ve heard so far is someone said his iphone was worthless and useless with out a jailbreak. If you have an iphone that won’t make calls or send and receive text messages or email or allow browsing the web with out a jb the. Your phone is damaged and needs warranty work. Make a jailbreak for 6.1.3 as some devices will not upgrade to iOS 7 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just release it at the same time as iOS 7 jailbreak that way you can still use all the exploits!!!!!!!

you do know that the 3gs can be jailbroken untethered because of the old bootrom. use snowbreeze and it even says 6.1.3 can be untethered for 3gs

It won’t be available until iOS 7 is released in Autumn, probably in late September or early October. This is to prevent exploits that could be used for iOS 7 from being found before the very first release.
