Jailbreak iOS 8.3 Untethered

Jailbreak iOS 8.3 Untethered TaiG 2.1.3 Tutorial: iPhone, iPod and iPad [Updated]

iOS 8.3 Jailbreak TaiG Untethered 2.1.3 Tutorial, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPod touch and More - Very early this morning, world renowned hacking group TaiG released an all new jailbreak 8.3 untethered solution (the very same group who created the previous iOS 8 through 8.1.2 and iOS 8.2 betas 1 and 2 jailbreak utility). The latest update to the TaiG jailbreak, being TaiG 2.0 (which has now been updated to version 2.1.3) for iOS 8, is capable of successfully delivering a hassle-free Untethered jailbreak on iOS 8.3 for all iPhone, iPod touch and iPad models. This release, like its processor, came out of the blue and certainly wasn’t expected - in fact, TaiG confirmed in a recent interview that they had no plans on releasing another iOS 8 jailbreak for 8.3; it’s a good thing they employed the use of this tactic to divert attention. We now have a fully functioning iOS 8.3 jailbreak that also includes support for iOS 8.1.3 and 8.2! Like TaiG’s older predecessor, the tool comes bundled with Cydia (the graphical user interface for distributing third-party packages and iOS tweaks). Moreover, jailbreaking iOS 8.3 on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, the Retina display iPad Mini 2, the original iPad Air and iPad mini, the iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and the iPod touch 5th generation is as easy and fluid as ever. Continue reading beyond the break for today’s tutorial on how to jailbreak all iDevices running iOS 8.3 completely UnTethered with Cydia!

Reboot iPhone Text Message Bug To Expedite Jailbreak iOS 8.3, iOS 8.4 Utility

Jailbreak iOS 8.3 or iOS 8.4: TaiG and Pangu’s Difficult Decision - It’s no secret that the latest TaiG jailbreak was patched back in January by Apple’s iOS 8.1.3 firmware. Since then, Apple issued multiple updates, being iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3, namely to introduce Apple Watch support and revised emoji, respectively. Furthermore, with both of the aforementioned subsequent iOS releases, and with iOS 8.4 having entered its second round of developer beta testing earlier this week, what do we have to look forward to in 2015? Surprisingly, a lot, most prominently a new jailbreak for iOS 8, whether it’s intended to jailbreak iOS 8.3 or 8.4. Interestingly, while iOS 8.4 has already been jailbroken by i0n1c, as we stated in our dedicated coverage on the topic, don’t expect a release from the hacker who only formerly contributed to the jailbreak community - instead, we must turn toward TaiG and Pangu. It’s important to remember that i0n1c is in no way a reflection of either TaiG or Pangu, both of whom are the primary and active teams on the jailbreak scene and are our best hope for an iOS 8.4 or iOS 8.3 jailbreak. For additional information on both groups and their next utilities, continue reading past the break.

iOS 8.3 Jailbreak Update Apple Watch

Prepare For iOS 8.3 Jailbreak And Apple Watch, Proper 8.3 Update Guide

How to Update for Future iOS 8.3 Jailbreak and Apple Watch - Today, a sizable portion of iPhone jailbreakers find that the moment of reckoning is upon them in light of the Apple Watch’s official release in 9 countries. However, prior to being able to fully use the device, one must update their iPhone 5 or higher (including the 5c, 5c, and the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus) to at least iOS 8.2, if not the current iOS 8.3 public firmware. That poses serious complications for those currently jailbroken on either > iOS 8.1.2 or iOS 8.2 betas 1 or 2 (both are jailbreakable, yet neither support the Apple Watch), as the latest TaiG jailbreak was officially patched by Apple with iOS 8.1.3. Having said that, while i0n1c successfully achieved an Untethered iOS 8.4 jailbreak on the first beta version of the firmware, and both Pangu and TaiG are confirmed to be creating new untethered jailbreak iOS 8.3 utilities, what about right now? Currently, as of writing this article, a jailbreak doesn’t exist for either of the aforementioned public firmwares that support Apple’s hottest post-PC wearable, so for those of you who already purchased the device and plan on receiving it either today or in the near future, you’ll need to leave the comfort of your jailbreak and update to iOS 8.3 - but like most things in life, there’s a right way and a wrong way to update. In light of that glaring fact, we’re going to guide you through the proper update procedure in today’s article - make the jump past the break to learn how to properly update to iOS 8.3 with the intent of jailbreaking when a new utility is released.

Jailbreak iOS 8.4 Teased

Jailbreak iOS 8.4 And iOS 8.3 Achieved, And Teased, By i0n1c - Release Unlikely

iOS 8.4 Jailbreak and iOS 8.3 Jailbreak Achieved by i0n1c, Teaser Hints at Unlikely Release - Earlier today, hacker Stefan Esser (better known online as i0n1c) released a video flaunting his latest alleged achievement: an iOS 8.4 beta 1 jailbreak, which presumably includes its predecessor, the latest public firmware, iOS 8.3. Given that TaiG was patched by Apple with the release of iOS 8.1.3, the public has been in desperate need of a new jailbreak utility to function on and, in turn, jailbreak either iOS 8.3 or the forthcoming iOS 8.4 firmware. However, such a tool will more than likely won’t come into fruition as the result of today’s jailbreak 8.4 teaser video posted by the aforementioned hacker who pulled a similar stunt last year with his so-called, and self-proclaimerd, “cyberelevat0r” jailbreak. For those of you who are either new to the world of jailbreaking or who simply require a reminder, approximately 11 months ago, i0n1c (a hacker who previously contributed willingly to the jailbreak community) posted a similar video as the one that’s propagating throughout the Apple blogosphere today that showcased a potential new jailbreak solution for iOS 7.1.1, a firmware that, like today’s iOS 8.1.3, iOS 8.2 and 8.3 releases, patched the current Untethered jailbreak at the time: evasi0n7. While it’s best not to put much stock in i0n1c’s latest work, the potential that it may influence the future of jailbreaking still exists. For more details on the purported iOS 8.4 and iOS 8.3 jailbreak, continue reading.

Jailbreak iOS 8.3 with Apple Watch

iOS 8.3 Jailbreak TaiG Tool Expedited By Apple Watch, Will You Update?

TaiG iOS 8.3 Jailbreak Tool Expedited by Apple Watch, Will You Update? - Since iOS 8.1.3’s release in January those who either restore their devices or purchase new devices running said firmware or later have been unable to jailbreak, the same applies to iOS 8.3 (the latest public firmware). While there isn’t a jailbreak iOS 8.3 solution as of writing this article, both TaiG and now, thankfully, Pangu have confirmed the development of a new jailbreak utility, which will inevitably support the latest public firmware. While the public was under the impression that a new jailbreak would present itself prior to April 24th (we’ll explain why we’re referencing the 24th in particular shortly), it doesn’t appear as though it will happen and, as each day passes, the possibility is becoming increasingly less likely. As we’ve stated before, new jailbreak utilities take hundreds of hours to develop, from exploitation discovery to coding and an extraordinary amount of testing, as explained in the video we’ve taken the liberty of embedding below for an excellent audible representation of the jailbreak concept in a nutshell. For details on why this coming Friday is so important, the next jailbreak, iOS 8.4 and iOS 8.3, continue reading past the jump.

Jailbreak iOS 8.2 or iOS 8.3

Jailbreak iOS 8.2 Or An iOS 8.3 Jailbreak From TaiG?

TaiG to Jailbreak iOS 8.2 or iOS 8.3 Untethered? MSS 2015 - Today, as the jailbreak community roars with excitement in anticipation of a possible iOS 8.2 jailbreak release at MSS 2015 (the Mobile Security Summit), the staff at Evasi0n Jailbreak felt it would be a rather fun time to poll our readers as to what they feel the smart release strategy would be for the aforementioned jailbreak. While we’ve covered the topic of a new jailbreak for iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3, and in turn MSS, a number of times by this point some of our readers may be unaware of the Summit and/or its importance. In essence MSS is a conference that will be hosted later tonight at 6PM (Pacific time) by TaiG in Bejing China (it will commence at 10AM on the 27th, local time - they’re 15 hours ahead), which will consist of a series of keynote presentations from a number of influential players on the jailbreak scene throughout the years. Unsurprisingly, while it hasn’t been officially mentioned, the public mistakenly took the announcement of MSS 2015 to mean the unofficial confirmation, and release, of a new jailbreak utility (one intended to jailbreak iOS 8.2). However, unfortunately, no such release can be confirmed at this time, but should TaiG jailbreak 8.2 or instead wait for iOS 8.3’s release? Cast your votes after the break!

Apple Releases iOS 8.3 Beta 4, New Jailbreak For 8.2 Or iOS 8.3 - MSS?

iOS 8.3 Beta 4 Released, New iOS 8.3 Jailbreak or 8.2 Jailbreak from MSS? - Today, as the public eagerly awaits the the next jailbreak utility, whether for iOS 8.2 or 8.3, nearly two weeks following the release of the third iOS 8.3 beta, Apple seeded the fourth beta iteration of iOS 8.3 to registered developers. Additionally, as with 8.3 beta 4’s predecessor, a new public beta build was made available to those enrolled in the company’s new public iOS beta program. Today’s iOS 8.3 beta 4 carries an incidental update in build number over its predecessor of 12F5061, versus 12F5047f, suggesting only minor changes since the last beta. As usual, today’s new beta is available for immediate download via either Apple’s development portal or as an OTA (over-the-air) update for devices already running either iOS 8.3 beta 1, beta 2 or beta 3 - alternatively, those who partake in the public beta program can find a download for the firmware through their corresponding portal. However, as with all past beta versions of iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.2 (betas 3 and up), as well as even iOS 8.1.3, the latest TaiG utility isn’t capable of delivering an iOS 8.3 jailbreak in its current state, but that could likely change very soon! For additional details on iOS 8.3 beta and the future of untethered jailbreaking, continue reading past the break.

Jailbreak 8.3

iOS 8.3 Beta 3 Released, Jailbreak For 8.2 Or 8.3? Important Update!

Apple Issues iOS 8.3 beta 3, Jailbreak for 8.2 or 8.3? Important Update! - Today, as the public eagerly awaits the release of the next utility capable of delivering a jailbreak for iOS 8.2, Apple seeded the third beta iteration of iOS 8.3, being 8.3 beta 3, to developers officially enrolled in the company’s iOS Developer program. As usual, Apple’s latest iOS 8.3 beta is available for instant download via either the customary iOS Developer Center on Apple’s development portal or as an OTA (short for over-the-air) update through the Settings app for developers with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad models running either iOS 8.3 beta 1 or beta 2. Also, today’s beta carries a slightly revised build number over its predecessor of 12F5047f, compared to 12F5037c, suggesting minor revisions since the last beta update. Furthermore, exactly like how TaiG won’t jailbreak, or even function on, either iOS 8.2, iOS 8.2 beta 3 or higher or both previous iOS 8.3 beta versions, the tool (in its current state) will not support iOS 8.3, i.e. it cannot jailbreak 8.3 beta 3. For complete details on the new iOS 8.3 beta 3 firmware and iOS 8.2, including the next untethered jailbreak, continue reading.

Jailbreak iOS 8.3 beta 1

Apple Releases 8.3 Beta, Will I Be Able To Jailbreak iOS 8.3 And iOS 8.4 Scheduled?

Apple Releases iOS 8.3 beta 1, Will I be Able to Jailbreak 8.3 and Should I Update? - Today, while the majority of jailbreakers are either avoiding iOS 8.1.3 or recovering from the serious blow to the jailbreak community that said firmware delivered, seeing as 8.1.3 is neither jailbreakable via TaiG nor is it likely to be any time soon, Apple seeded the first beta iteration of iOS 8.3 to developers officially enrolled in the company’s iOS 8 Developer Program. Interestingly, without having released iOS 8.2 to the public, Apple currently has two beta versions of iOS in Developer testing simultaneously. With a significantly revised build number over its predecessor of 12F5027d, compared to 12D5461b (8.2 beta 5’s build number), it can be correctly assumed that iOS 8.3 provides additional features over iOS 8.1.3 and even the unreleased 8.2. Today’s new iOS 8.3 beta 1 firmware is strictly available for immediate developer download through Apple’s official iOS 8 Developer Portal - however, those developers who are currently jailbroken on iOS 8.1.2 or earlier should undeniably avoid the new beta release. In what appears to be an effort to mitigate subsequent 8.3.x updates (seeing as the company was forced to issue a number iOS 8.1.x releases), Apple is now effectively utilizing developers to test iOS 8.3 far in advance and may be planning a similar strategy for iOS 8.4. In addition to new features, as with iOS 8.1.3 and 8.2 beta 5, the vulnerabilities exploited by TaiG to achieve an untethered jailbreak remain patched in iOS 8.3, making it impossible for any device to jailbreak 8.3 beta 1 untethered using the current utility. For more on iOS 8.3, the rumored iOS 8.4 firmware, as well as how the firmwares may play into jailbreaking, continue past the break!
