I have an iPod touch 4G that I jailbroke with sn0wbreeze, and I realize that it’s a tethered jailbreak, but I’ve read that I can download some kind of Semi-Tether so that I don’t have to keep booting (I use iBooty) every time it dies, or I shut it off. Is this true, and can I proceed with the download without re-jailbreaking or compromising memory already stored from my current downloaded tweaks, apps, etc.?

You can’t. Only the redsnow semi tether is available for A4 devices on 6.1.3, the iPhone 5 is an A5 device and can only support evasion jailbreaks which support IOS 6.0 - 6.1.2. 6.1.3 patches the bugs which Evasion used to jailbreak the device.
I have a iPod 5th Generation. I had a 6.1.2 jailbreak a little over 2 weeks ago, but recently was forced to back up and restore my iPod.. At this point in time I was also forced to update to the 6.1.3 IOS software.. With that being said, I cannot seem to find a jailbreak by anything online, I prefer Evasi0n but if somebody else had it I honestly probably would get it elsewhere. I have the same problem, can’t unlock my phone. And from what i’ve read so far it’s almost impossible today because of the BaseBand protection on 6.1.3… So i guess you can only use the original carrier, and enjoy an “semi-untethered” iphone!

You can download any iOS version you like from serveral websites. Google this: Felix Brunx. Something like that and you’ll be able to dowload them, but you can no longer downgrade from a higher iOS to a lower. This was patched in iTunes 10. SOrry man, I accidentally upadted my iPod 5 and now i lost my jailbreak. Probably won’t get one till iOS7 but its all good I can just root my phone haha
Rolleroh, iphone 5 jb from evasion is not compatible with ios 6.1.3 , 6.1.2 does jb the iphone 5, if you saved shsh blobs you can restore to 6.1.2., otherwise you have to wait till ios 7.x shows up and a new jb tools is developed .

Any 4S and ABOVE (including the 5) iDevice on 6.1.3 CANNOT be jail broken - tethered OR untethered.
But from wat i understand since my ipod still works it shouldn’t be a problem to use the back up from syncing my ipod from b4 i jailbroke it to restore my 6.1.2 right?

Blobs are device specific. No 2 devices have the same blob even if they are both lets say iphone 4’s
Ok so I accidentally erased my utilities folder with myfile. Well now almost all my apps are gone except for like 10. None of which can help in any way. I had just used evasion to untether 6.1.2. On my ipod 4 gen. Is there any way to get that stuff back without restoring it with Itunes? Please tell me yes.

i have iphone 4 jailbreak 6.0.1 i dont save shsh bloob cause my pc down , after my iphone lower battery %1 i try to plug usb charge in , then LOGO ITUNE show up , i plug usb to laptop , DFU mode pop up , i try to restore firmware 6.1.2 shift no result 3194 error , but if i restote latest firmware is running ok and but i dont want to , i unplug after 50 % process cause 6.1.3 no un jb now , so what can i do now to restore back 6.0.1 or 6.1.2 thnks
You CANNOT backup your SHSH blobs after Apple stops signing the firmware. You’ll only be able to backup your 6.1.3 blobs now. If you don’t have them for 6.1.2, you’re stuck on iOS 6.1.3.

If your devices are on a low enough firmware, they can be jailbroken. For example, an iPad 3 can be jailbroken on 5.1.1 using Absinthe or on 6.0 - 6.1.2 using evasi0n.
When will evasi0n support jailbreaking iOs 6.1.3 unthethered?

I have a question. I have an iPhone 4 but it says it has the a5 chip in it. I had 6.1.2 and jb it but I lost App Store so I did a restore and was going to roll it back to 6.1.2 but I haven’t been able to do it. Is an a5 in an iPhone 4 known of and am I just out of luck for now? I even tried the snow breeze program and get an error 1600 when I try to downgrade as instructed. Thanks for your time.
The iPhone 4 uses an A4 chip. If your device is really powered by an A5, it’s an iPhone 4S. Unfortunately, the ONLY firmware you can restore to is iOS 6.1.3, which cannot be jailbroken on the 4S. More details here.
