Hi I got a Serious Problem and hope you can help me. Pls no noobish comments. I have got an iphone 4 32 GB and I restored it. 1.) iOS 6.1.3 2.) I Jailbreaked it with your instructions. 3.) Jailbreak Works, Its starts hisself and I can see Cydia and download Tweaks. 4.) But after 1 day or sometimes after 12 hours (never the same time, checked taht already) my Iphone always crashes. 2 Ways this is happening: 1st. I cant do anything and my screen is in frozen and after about 1 min it turns off and on again and I can see Cydia, but it opens and closes (not the Exit Safe mode) It looks like the normal appel Homescreen, no folders etc. 2nd. All my Icons look weird and it just turns off and on, or stays off and then i´m like above said back in the apple screen. “When” im lucky it get into safe Mode, and I stil can receive calls. But mostly not. Only way to get it back to work is: - if I open Redsnow, - select ispw 6.0 what I used like in the describtion , - then choose “just boot” I see the walking pineapple and my settings are back like I left at the crash. (I mean my Tweaks are still all there, even the settings in the Tweaks, like Statusbar Name etc etc.) I got my iphone only 4 weeks, so I a newbie but: I cant understand why my Iphone is keeps crashing I tried it with my Tweaks and without them. It always crashes. Not even crash reporter was a help. Only if I dont Jailbreak it and use normal Apple Settings its stable, but for the love of god, after I taste heaven I dont wanna live on earth again. So please help me: 1st. guys Im trying to jailbreak my iphone 4 gsm and all , ive downloaded the firmwares and followed step by step the instructions with redsn0w, but when it comes to the “WAITING FOR REBOOT” part on the jailbreaking process it stops there and stays there for hours and does nothing else! I have the correct firmwares, I’ve tried restoring my iphone, rebooting my macbook, even desconecting my iphone and rebooting it manually, and nothing seems to work! Any ideas?? Hope for an answer.

I’m using the 6.0 ipsw in redsn0w but I’m having the issue that once redsn0w runs on my device, I’m not getting the running pineapple screen, I’m just getting the regular Apple logo at start-up and my phone runs fine when it starts up after running the jailbreak. Cydia is nowhere to be found, and when I run “just boot” with the 6.0 ispw, it boots up with the pineapple, but Cydia still isn’t an app on my phone. I tried restoring the phone and then running redsn0w, but that didn’t work either.

I kept following the steps listed and couldn’t get past the “Waiting to Reboot” message. I found an alternate IPSW at ipswdownloader (dot) com for my iPhone 4 that I received after 2012. The IPSW was called iPhone3,2_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw instead of iPhone3,1_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw. The process listed above worked, but after boot I still didn’t have Cydia. I used the boot steps with the new IPSW and the “Just Boot” option in redsn0w and Cydia is up and working. Full signal and 3G.

I think it’s really stupid that they can’t jailbreak 6.1.3, but can jailbreak ios7. Then, what about the people that don’t want ios 7? Found that there is 3 different 6.1.3 IOSs GSM IOS = iphone3,1 Unsure = iphone3,2 Verizon CDMA IOS = iphone3,3 The felixbruns.de site does not have the correct iphone4 CDMA IOS. If you google iphone3 3_6.0_10a403_restore.ipsw you should be able to download the IOS.

Hello, I have a problem. When on iphone appears black/white text, the phrase “Please wait” stays there too long (for half an hour). After it, my iphone starts and there is not cydia… well then I boot the device with redsnow again (DOING ALL THE STEPS, selecting right 6.0 ipsw) and the pineapple appers. I have iphone 4 and am on 6.1.3 I cannot downgrade, I have download the semi-tethered jailbreak and it won’t run or do anything now. I’m not entirely sure where I go from here. I don’t have my SHSH blobs to downgrade to 6.1.2 if anyone knows a way around this with no original data that would be great. I’m very stuck atm if someone could help me that would be brilliant!

alright here’s the deal with people that cannot get the jailbreak to work, and never see a cydia installed (even after a “Just boot” from redsn0w). Just backup your phone on itunes, do a restore to factory default, then restore to your backup. Now jailbreak again and it should work. It may be an issue with previous jailbreaks interfering etc…

Step 3: Run Redsn0w and click Extras, followed by Select IPSW. In the pop-up window, simply point Redsnow at the iOS 6.0 IPSW, not 6.1.3. After the firmware has been successfully identified, click the Back button to return to the main Redsn0w menu. Just tethered jailbroke a friend’s iPhone 4, installed Semi Restore resprung then installed the following jailbreak tweaks: - Rainstone Siri Port - Activator - iCaughtU Pro - PkgBackup - PwnTunes - SBSettings Rebooted and the iPhone 4 refused to boot into the non-jailbreak state; it was stuck at the silver Apple logo. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I know can boot tethered to get it working again, but that spoils the whole purpose of SemiUnthered…

I was able to upgrade my iphone 4 GSM from ios 5.1.1 baseband 04.10.01 to 6.1.3 and its running fine, this is a great tutorial. If you do exactly what says in this tutorial (and the vid if you like me need to use the gevey sim) it’ll work 100%. I had some issue like failed decrypt kernel, but it was cause i was using the wrong ipsw to do the jailbreak part, after i use the right one it worked on 1rst try. NOTE: If you want to upgrade from a eaerlier ios (with a suported device) to the 6.1.3 first use the sn0wbreeze to make a custom ipsw to restore on itunes (holding shift buttom to select it), then you can do the process of this tutorial. Thanks a lot

whenever my phone hangs it restarts and gets stuck at endless bootloop then I have to hot boot my iPhone 4 to be able to turn it off then reboot it again with snow to be able to gain jailbreak. Am I missing a point in semi-tethered where it says you are able to use your device after a reboot without the help of a computer? can someone help to solve this problem?

iPod T4 cracked useing this method. Restarted as requested. PROBLEM: When I try to add sources to cydia it goes through the whole list then stops (I let one go for over eight hours to see if I was just being impatient.) Still had to press cancel and it added the source but it was completely void of all packages. I’ve added several different sources and tried deleting them and re adding them. Cydia is also fully updated. Any ideas on how to make this work?

Okay, I’m getting tired of this. Every single time I jailbreak, my itouch 4th gen gets stuck in DFU mode after a couple of hours and I have to restore again. I can’t enter DFU regularly because my buttons are broken so I have to DFU my ipsw. However, DFUing the ipsw means that it corrupts the ipsw, tricking it to enter DFU. But after jailbreaking, the ipsw doesn’t seem corrupt, even though it is still. Meaning after a while, I get back into a DFU lock and I boot tethered through the computer. After I boot tethered, my device makes the usual charging noise and the screen turns on, however the screen remains a gray-ish color and I have to restore and jailbreak all over again. Is there any other way to enter DFU mode with broken buttons without having to mess up my software?

I followed the instructions correct.. tried to do it almost 50x.. the instructions is not that hard to follow.. watched the video do precisely what it said. first select the ipsw 6.0 then jailbreak after that just boot but select the ipsw 6.0 first.. then its running and the pineapple logo appears but after that it would be stuck on the apple logo for hours, nothing is happenning..

Hi, I don’t like the fact that if I run out of battery I have to use a computer to boot my Iphone and be able to use cydia and safari. I mean I do not carry a laptop with me all the time. I am just wondering if there is a tweak which can freeze the phone when battery is 20%, the screen stays Black, All running apps get terminated, CPU and GPU is on absolute minimum. When the IPhone gets charge over %20, screen unfreezes, and lights back and everything works as it should. I would pay for such a teak as it would be very useful for any Tethered Jailbroken Iphone. I guess that at %20 Battery charge, the phone survives up to 7 or 8hours (with minim power consumption) Which is enough time to look for a charger and get it charged before, the battery is flat.

I went through the steps but when it came to the part of my iPhone doing the rest of the jailbreaking all I saw was “please wait” scrolling down forever and then the apple logo. I never saw a pineapple. Anyway so then I go to boot tethered (I selected the IPSW 6.0 again) and when I boot it it just says “exploit failed”. What am I doing wrong??

Nice Tutorial! Thanks! Here is the ODD part for me. I tried this Jail Break on an old iPhone 3GS that the previous owner already upgraded to 6.13. I went through the steps as outlined, only on my 3GS - RedSn0w had an additional prompt if I had the new BootRom or the Old. Looking at their instructions, I checked the serial number of my device, and the key digits were 36, meaning it was the older BootRom. So I answered NO it was not the new BootRom, and continued along with the Video. Unlike the instructions above, after reboot the video said it was important to close and relaunch RedSn0w, then choose the the IOS 6.0 firmware file again, and then use the “Just Boot” option and DFU mode, which I did. I waited and eventually RedSnoW reported “Exploited Failed” and the device seemed stuck on the Apple Boot screen. After a few minutes, I unplugged the USB cable and almost forced the device off. Glad I didn’t! I waited a little longer and the device came back up. I figured I had a limited device and would need restored, but much to my surprise it was in fact Jail Broken, and Cydia and all other applications worked fine. Now the really ODD thing, is this seems to have resulted in a Non Tethered JB. I can turn the device completely off and on and the JB is still in place without a computer, Cydia and all applications still work perfectly. Perhaps a bug or sequencing issue? Either way, I am very happy!

I have an iPod touch 4g running ios 6.1.3. I accidentally upgraded my software from 6.1.2 to 6.1.3, I had my iPod jail broken before I updated. I follow the steps to a Tee. But when jail breaking, it shows the pineapple, and a little bar underneath it showing progress from, installing cydia, to moving applications and all of that. It is supposed to take like 5 minutes for that process, but when I do it, it goes straight from Installing Cydia, to rebooting, and skips moving apps and the other things. It takes like1 minute on mine, so that’s how I know it’s not working, what can I do? Thanks in advance guys, and girls.

Stop making tutorials and just make a jailbreak for 6.1.3. It would help out a lot of us guys. Then warn all of them to don’t update to the next update untill ios 7.

REMEMBER. To use “just boot” is ALWAYS necessary to “select IPSW” before proceed.

it works Perfectly without a flaw. It worked on my iPhone 4(IOS 6.1.3) using the 6.0 ISPW for the jailbreak and the just boot. Just follow the tutorials, then it should work fine. I had few problems in the beginning because I had a bad usb, but it worked fine after trying few more times with holding my cable tightly. Thanks again for this awesome tutorial. Thanks.

I did all, but when rebooting via ‘just boot’ with redsn0w, after the pineapple logo stage, the phone just gets stuck on that apple logo start-up stage for hours. I’ve read lots of complaints and just few good words about this procedure. Such is my case. I did the procedure as it’s explained in THE VIDEO which has been my key to succeed. It took me some time to put my iPod Touch 4G IOS 6.1.3 in DFU mode. I succeed following the times marked in the software instead of count seconds. Follow the video… is my suggestion to get your goal. In this moment I’ve ended the installation of XBMC, which was the reason for jailbreak the device. Work fine!!! Thanks to the creator of the procedure!!

I was able to jailbreak with no issues but now i am getting no service on a straight talk sim. Any ideas? Phone calls will not even work.

finished the jailbreak and the just boot with the ipsw 6.0 but stuck on the apple logo after the small pineapple disappeared.. been waiting for hours but nothing happened just stuck on the apple logo

I keep getting a message saying that “that ipsw is not supported by redsnow” everytime i try to select the ipsw in the redsn)w app. I have an Iphone 4s which has already been updated to ios 6.13. I am using redsn0w 9.15b3, and have already downloaded the ipsw file 6.1.3 for my phone…could you help me to figure out what i’m doing wrong?

I have Tried all options but still I am getting error ” Exploit Failed”. When I go back and check the status on Redsnow, it says Connect iPhone (Soft DFU Mode). This is Iphone4. Please Help.

I have gone through the entire process without any problems and still don’t have Cydia on my springboard. any ideas?

Hi! I love jailbreaking my ipod 4G and I am kinda obsessed with apple. Since I don’t own a mac, yet I just recently downloaded Safari from apple on my Windows. I use it instead of using IE or GC. So should I press mac or windows, I wasn’t sure if it mattered. Thanks!
