UnTethered iOS 7.1.x Pangu Jailbreak 7.1.1 On Apple’s New 2014 16GB iPod Touch 5G - Following the Pangu Team’s recent release of their Untethered jailbreak 7.1.1 for all iDevices, including newer ones like the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and the Retina iPad mini, Apple released a new 2014-edition iPod Touch, more or less. Apple has essentially replaced their lower-end, 16GB, rear camera-less iPod touch 5G with a full-fledge, cheaper, no compromise 5th generation iPod touch model. Now, in addition to the other iOS 7-powered devices, new iPod touch owners are wondering if they can jailbreak 7.1.1 on the 2014 16GB iPod touch 5th gen. In today’s brief article, we’ll tackle that question, as well as the topic of the
Pangu jailbreak’s future.

Can I Jailbreak The 2014 16GB iPod Touch On iOS 7.1.1 With Pangu?

Yes, the newest 5th generation iPod touch can be jailbroken on iOS 7.1.1 by way of the new UnTethered Pangu utility.

If you’re not familiar with the jailbreak method for Pangu, we advise following our detailed jailbreak 7.1.1 Untethered tutorial and watching the corresponding video guide, which is embedded below.

As for the Pangu jailbreak itself, the tool has a future - at least in theory. Pangu was built with the future in mind and has native support for iOS 7.1.2, provided Apple doesn’t patch the exploits utilized in Pangu when they issue the update in the foreseeable future. While that’s all we’ll say on the topic for now, stay tuned for a separate article covering iOS 7.1.2, Pangu and the UnTethered jailbreak in further detail.

Even after a full hard restore connected to the computer, I keep having the SAME problem - after two reboots, it just stops at about 80% complete - and if I click the Pangu app again it opens with a Pangu screen with no words. Can’t get that final 20%.
