iOS 7 Jailbreak 7.0.6 Tutorial, Download Evasi0n7 1.0.6 UnTethered - Today, following yesterday’s 7.0.6 security release from Apple, the evad3rs issued an update to their evasi0n7 UnTethered jailbreak utility: evasi0n 1.0.6. While the tool is still a one click jailbreak, evasion can now successfully jailbreak 7.0.6, and all previous iterations of iOS 7, on the iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPad mini models. In this article, beyond evasi0n7 1.0.6 download links, you’ll find a quick tutorial for updating to 7.0.6 and jailbreaking.

Detailed Evasi0n 7.0.6 Jailbreak And Downloads

Although it may not seem overly important, 7.0.6 is really a major update that all iDevice owners should update to. It’s really a miracle that Apple left the vulnerabilities exploited by evasion7 unpacthed in 7.0.6, as jailbreakers can now safely update to take advantage of the major security update.

In light of the fact that evasi0n7 doesn’t function properly on devices that were updated to 7.0.6 using Apple’s OTA (over-the-air) update option, the following is a quick tutorial for restoring to 7.0.6 for non-jailbroken and jailbroken devices alike prior to jailbreaking with evasi0n.

Update And Jailbreak 7.0.6 UnTethered

  1. Connect your device to a computer (with the latest version of iTunes installed) using a genuine Apple USB cable.
  2. Initiate a backup of your device inside iTunes.
  3. Restore to iOS 7.0.6 from the device overview portion of the iTunes program.
  4. Follow our in-depth iOS 7, 7.0.4 and 7.0.6 UnTethered evasi0n7 tutorial to successfully and easily jailbreak 7.0.6.
  5. Once jailbroken, open iTunes and restore from the backup you created in the second step of this tutorial.

If you encounter any issues during the update and/or jailbreak process, we advise following iCrackUriDevice’s detailed 7.0.6 video tutorial, which is embedded above.

As previously mentioned, the evad3rs’ new evasi0n 1.0.6 UnTethered jailbreak 7.0.6 utility functions on the following iOS 7 devices:

  • iPad Air
  • iPad Mini 2 (2nd generation Retina models)

  • iPhone 5
  • iPhone 4S
  • iPhone 4

Hi. I’ve just updated mi ipad2 to 7.0.6 via itunes. surprisingly (or not?) after reboot the device continues jailbroken like it was when in ios 7.0.4. The new Evasion utility informs that the device is already jailbroken and a new jaibreak process is not recomendable. Is it normal?

  18. JNM says:

  21. Spock says:

Hi! Does anyone know how to preserve cydia tweak settings when upgrading from 7.0.4 ti 7.0.6? I just figured that an itunes backup won’t include data from ant cydia apps. Am I correct on this? is there a way of backing up thus data without having to reinstall and configure everything cydia-related all over again?

    • JR says:

you need to install pkgbackup and back up your cydia tweaks to dropbox or some type of cloud service through pkgbackup.

      • Spock says:

Thanks for reminding me! I realized that I already had bought pkgbackup some years ago when I still had my old 3GS (prior to migrating to Android). Just updated to 7.0.6, restored cydia-apps with pkgbackup…everything worked like a charm. Thank you

        • JR says:

NP. I realized you have to have to actually purchase this app in order to get it to work correctly. A small price to pay for a very good app

    • Ben says:

      AptBackup, its free!

      • Spock says:

Sorry Ben…already went through with pkgbackup. Worked great, though. I’ll check out aptbackup, some of my friends might need a free option
