iOS 7.0.2 Jailbreak Close to Complete, 7.0.3 to be Supported
Today, following numerous jailbreak updates and a couple iOS 7 firmware updates from Apple (including 7.0.2), we have excellent news to share with our readers. This is what we’ve been waiting for - genius hacker planetbeing of the evad3rs sent the most exciting tweet in months to followers. It seems as though the public will have a jailbreak for 7.0.2 and iOS 7 in general sooner than initial predictions and estimates. Like with evasi0n for iOS 6 through 6.1.2, the evad3rs will once again save the day by releasing a utility to jailbreak 7.0.2.
Once the whirlwind of news and updates regarding Apple’s new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones, iOS 7, 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 subsided, planetbeing felt it fit to update his avid followers on development progress earlier today.
We’re still working hard on the jailbreak. May have all the pieces at this point (but not certain yet).

As illustrated by the tweet embedded above, the evad3rs may have all they need to complete the jailbreak - although, planetbeing isn’t certain. Additional development and testing is undoubtedly required before a public release is even in the realm of possibility.
Moreover, various reports have propagated recently suggesting that Apple will issue a new update to correct various iMessage difficulties users are experiencing on iOS 7. If the company decides to go this route and release iOS 7.0.3 for all supported devices, it’s a strong possibility that the firmware will be jailbreakable via the evad3rs’ upcoming tool. If the group decides to wrap up development and wait for iOS 7.0.3, it’s virtually inconceivably that Apple would know which vulnerabilities to patch prior to the release of said tool.
While it sounds like the team could release a utility in the very near future, we still don’t have a solid timeframe. Of course, we’ll be sure to notify our readers of any and all updates regarding the upcoming iOS 7 utility.

in a tethered jailbreak, you have to connect your device to your computer everytime you reboot it, whereas in a an unthethered jailbreak, you can reboot it like a normal device

Apple Blocked the upgrading to ios 1 till 6.1.3, now you can upgrade only to 7

Nope, you’ll get errors telling you your update failed. You have only one update option and that is iOS 7.0.2

Personally i am going to wait that way i still have a choice and am able to take the first one that comes out. Here is what ih8snow has to say and i have to admit that he has some very valid points. Before you start wanting an iOS 7 jailbreak, you should know that lots of things are currently broken in iOS 7. To list a few: Cydia, MobileSubstrate, and WinterBoard. Not really worth pushing anything at the moment until these issues are sorted out (please don’t bug saurik to fix it. He is aware of it already). With that being said, there is no use in pushing a user-friendly tethered iPhone 4 jailbreak at the moment. As for updates on an A5+ iOS 7 jailbreak, follow the @evad3rs for updates on that. I will be so glad when this jailbreak is finished. I really want to thank the programmers for their hard work. The best thing I like about when it is broken is that I can download my own wifi program and make my Iphone a hotspot where ever I am and not have to pay AT&T one dime. So I know this wait is definitely going to be worth it.

The story of my iPad 3: For a long time I had been enjoying the freedom of an untethered jailbreak, but everything suddenly come to an end. One day after work I unplugged my ipad and found myself a comfy spot on the couch (: But to my suprize it didn’t power on. I thought “no big deal, I’ll just look up some solutions”. Then, after scouring the Internet for hours, it turned out that the thing was completely done. The light on the screen would briefly turn on, but no lockscreen, no apple boot logo, just a black screen. I quickly took it into the apple store where they had it replaced without a question. The iPad they replaced it with was running on 5.1.1 and 6.1.3 had just been released. For some reason I couldn’t find a jailbreak for this version (tried everthing). I eventually submitted to the will of 6.1.3 thank you for listening to how apple took a shit in my yard!

Same thing happened to me on July 4th or 5th I had 5.1.1 jailbroke on my 4s and boom the phone locks on the apple logo and im forced to do a restore which put me on 6.1.3 I could be wrong but i have often wondered if apple sends a signal to our phones to force us to update and lose our jailbreak. I would like to hear from others with simular experiences.
No, Apple does not send any signals that force updates or break jailbreaks. What happens you install a tweak or even several tweaks and your iDevice seems stable but over time, do to amateur coding, errors start to accumulate and code starts corrupting that eventually turn catastrophic to the point your device crashes and refuses to boot. So the lesson here is to be very picky about the tweaks you install and back up often. And most of all, search for a iTunes free restore so you won’t be forced to update. With iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 and some great Apps, I really don’t miss my jailbreak on my iPhone 5.

The bullshit in here gets deeper and deeper with every post. How in Da Fuck is a jailbreak going to save you thousands of $$$? WTF? Most apps are .99cents so 100 apps that you pirate will save you at most a couple hundred dollars. Wifi tethering? A couple of hundred dollars a year. Cool, Groovy, hope they wait for iOS 7.0.3 before they release a jailbreak. It’s one thing to find exploits in a device, it’s completely another thing to build an application that jailbreaks devices.

Honestly, these “news” releases about a jailbreak for iOS 7 haven’t said anything new for months. Even the headline “iOS 7.0.2 Jailbreak Close to Complete, 7.0.3 to be Supported” overstates what is in the article. According to the article, the jailbreakers “May have all the pieces at this point (but not certain yet)”, “it’s a strong possibility that the firmware will be jailbreakable via the evad3rs’ upcoming tool”, and “we still don’t have a solid timeframe”. I love our jailbreaking friends and this is not a criticism of them. My criticism is that every one of these news updates says the same thing: “they’re working, no timeline, it should work with whatever the latest iOS 7 version is” followed by commenters *demanding* a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 because they stupidly upgraded before a utility was available. I am interested in keeping up with the latest because I also want to jailbreak, but how about just providing updates when there is something to report?
We should be friends. As much as I love the reason you put in your post, good luck getting anyone else here to believe that. It’s been this way since 7 came out, and we’re barely seeing any noticeable progress other than a tweet that a dev would write. Naturally, everyone else who sees this will pull the ‘Let’s see you dev it then, faggot!’ card, because while patience is a virtue, it’ll still bite us in the balls.
