iOS 8.2 Jailbreak Or iOS 8.3 And Apple Watch Jailbreak? iOS’ Future - Today, with less than five days left until Apple unveils the company’s all-new post-PC smart wearable (the Apple Watch), things are bound to become hectic once more in the world of iOS and jailbreaking. Beyond announcing previously undisclosed details pertaining to the forthcoming Apple Watch, the company is also expected to discuss their next major iOS release: 8.2. While TaiG did recently provide the public with an updated version of TaiG, 1.3.0, to jailbreak 8.2 beta 1 and 2, the tool’s functionality was vastly limited by its beta restriction (for an explanation of how the utility functions and why it exists at all, we recommend navigating to our dedicated tutorial). However, with iOS 8.3 also in the works, the biggest question on the jailbreak scene as of late isn’t whether a new untethered jailbreak will be created, but rather will it be released for iOS 8.2 or instead iOS 8.3? Seeing as this is the first time Apple has had two beta iterations of iOS in public developer testing simultaneously, we’re entering uncharted territory, which will undoubtedly affect jailbreakers the world over. Continue reading for information on the likelihood of an updated TaiG or Pangu jailbreak utility for iOS 8.2 or beyond.
Jailbreak iOS 8.2 Or 8.3 Untethered via TaiG?
First, we wanted to state that for those of you who have yet to read through our recent coverage on a similar topic, we strongly recommend reading our ‘iOS 8.1.3 Jailbreak 8.2 Method Patched‘ article.
Next, it’s important to understand that while the jailbreak teams of old, namely the iPhone Dev Team, the Chronic Dev Team and the evad3rs (not to mention individual and independent jailbreakers), would sit on exploits to preserve them for as long as possible, we’re now on an entirely different playing field, one that’s no longer cluttered by politics between groups and jailbreakers.
iOS 8 Jailbreaking iOS 8.2 In 2015: Apple Watch
Simply put, neither TaiG nor Pangu will waste time or delay the release of their next creations and, to make it even sweeter, both groups are motivated by extrinsic means of the monetary nature, i.e. they’re getting paid for their work. While we’re currently unclear whether a jailbreak 8.2 utility will be released following the firmwares release or the next jailbreak will be postponed until iOS 8.3, we do know one thing beyond a shadow of a doubt: a new jailbreak is on the horizon and slated for release sooner than most would assume.
As for the Apple Watch, the new device will also reshape the future of jailbreaking, as it will likely add additional features, whether via a direct Apple Watch jailbreak or by proxy of an iPhone jailbreak and third-party tweaks.

To summarize, a new jailbreak utility is already in the works as both TaiG and Pangu enter stealth-mode, so to speak, to allow the groups to finish the remaining work required for the next jailbreak. Also, we’ll certainly know more after Monday, March 9th, which again is Apple’s rapidly approaching media event for the Watch.
