Will There be a Jailbreak 7.1.1 Untethered Solution before iOS 8? - Following our recent article concerning Cydia 1.1.11 and the possibility of an UnTethered jailbreak solution for iOS 7.1.1, Saurik issued a third update to Cydia, which as most of you know is the graphical user interface that allows pre-iOS 7.1.1 jailbroken devices to install and manage iOS tweaks. But beyond Cydia’s latest update, what about an actual UnTethered utility to jailbreak 7.1.1 on all iDevices, including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad Air and iPad Mini 2? To answer that question, it’s important to understand the recent history of jailbreaking and how the evad3rs (the only team of jailbreak developers that have released UnTethered jailbreak tools in the past two years) have handled issuing their tools to the public. Without any further ado, let’s delve into jailbreaking and what lies ahead for the process, post iOS 7.1.1.
UnTethered Jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 Solution Or iOS 8 Utility?
While there have been multiple of UnTethered jailbreak tools for previous major iOS installments in years past, the process of jailbreaking continues to grow more complex as Apple patches the aforementioned tools and releases dozens of new and untested (as far as jailbreaking is concerned) iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models.

However that doesn’t mean jailbreaking is dead, far from it - the future of jailbreaking is extremely bright, especially with iOS 8 on the horizon. Multiple teams (some financed by Chinese companies with extrinsic motivations) are said to be gunning and racing to release the next UnTethered jailbreak utility for the upcoming release. In all likelihood though, it will almost certainly be the evad3rs who will, yet again, come to the rescue of millions of jailbreakers around the globe.
