Today, following last week’s iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C unveiling event, Apple officially released iOS 7 to the general public. iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad mini, iPad 4 and iPod touch 5th generation owners can download Apple’s new and exciting update via the device portion of iTunes. Although there isn’t an iOS 7 jailbreak available for 7.0 and 7.0.1 (we’ll get to that in a second) at launch, the evad3rs are hard at work on creating a new utility that will jailbreak iOS 7 on all devices, including Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones.
Additionally, iCrackUriDevice recently published a great video (embedded below) regarding many of the iOS 7 jailbreak-related topics discussed here on Jailbreak Evasion iOS - we highly recommend watching it, especially if you’re at all confused or lost when it comes to the status of the next Untethered jailbreak.
As for iOS 7, users around the world can now download the firmware via either Apple’s over-the-air update option found in the Settings app (General > Software Update) or through iTunes 11.1, which can be obtained here.
In addition to offering users a complete and system-wide graphical redesign, iOS 7 also brings exciting new features like Control Center, iTunes Radio, a significantly revised version of Notification Center and more. Preceding the public release of iOS 7.0, it was discovered through various logs that new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C owners will be welcomed this Friday by a prompt to update to 7.0.1, suggesting Apple has plans for another unifying firmware following 7.0.1 - likely 7.0.2.

The A5+ devices are using the APTicket parser for firmware updates.The APticket is quit new so people say that a heap overflow or a stack overflow may buffer the APTicker parser to make it Crash and get unsigned code accessibility. Apperantly UnthreadJB might be using that exploit.(That’s why he showed his devices tether booting with no Cydia + he was on iOS 7.) So for the people that think an A5+ bootrom exploit for downgrades is not possible you are proven wrong.

Isn’t there a big exploit in iOS 7 that allows users to bypass lock screen? Could that vulnerability be exploited and used to gain root access? I’m just spit balling.. I’m not a genius. Either way I just updated to 7.0.2 so that option wouldn’t work for me anyways. Haha thanks evad3rs

I am staying on 6.13 because a jailbreak for 7.0 is looking less likely everyday. If they can’t get 7 broke they may go ahead and give us a 6.13 jailbreak and it is possible we may not be able to downgrade even with shsh blobs saved. I hope this helps. Until then we are in Apples jail.

The more this blog talks in circles, the more I want to leave. This blog only kicks up the hype for another day, a YouTube video that’s basically verbatim of the blog post, and finally, obligatory shit posting from little kids. I have no mouth and I must scream.
I believe they will release a jailbreak I am currently waiting an accuslly looking or bugs and exploits in iOS 7 but currently found nothing if I find any I will report to the jailbreak team and if they had the jailbreak they would release it they have some exploits quarantined from Apple and need to see how many apple patched anyways they could make a boot rom untethered jailbreak too like redsn0w for iPhone 4 below except that’s tethered I have a 4s and haven’t found anything so please leave the jailbreak team alone let them do what they do I support them 100% and they just need time to find some more exploits unless they decide to do a boot rom jailbreak it may be released within a month is my guess for people with 5s or 5c it may take longer

Everyone has to understand that free takes time. These guys are very smart at what they do. They also perfected their utility so the average user can complete an untethered jailbreak in about 5 min. So give your support instead of demanding that they hurry. Simple piece of advice…Don’t apply an update until the jailbreak has been released for said update.
I love people who just complain arround knowing nothing about computers . U think passing throw Apple’s security is a walk in the park .Just wait in quiet , and when the right momment will come they will release it.My guess is that they allready cracked the ios7 but its not a good time to release it to pub.

Great idea however my phone locked up the 4th of july and i had to do a restore otherwise i would still have my 5.1.1 jailbreak and be happy about it. I often wonder if it was an apple induced lockup so i would have to update.

I had to get ios 7 through iTunes as I had the beta 6 and it wouldn’t allow me to do it OTA. Works very well. Can’t wait for jailbreak. Good work guys!

iOS 7 is only available for devices running A6 chip, not because of money making ideas. The accelorometer is newer in those devices and is required for the dynamic wallpaper.
Not true. iOS 7 is available for devices running the A4, A5, AND the new A6 chip. Anybody with an ipad or an iphone 4g or better can download iOS 7.

I am on 6.1.2 on ipad 3 wifi +4g evasion jailbreaked. Should i update to 7.0 and wait for jailbreak or should I wait for ios 7 jailbreak and then update? What if iI wait for ios 7 jailbreak and by then apples is not signing 7.0 and gave updates to patch exploits? Please if anyone can comment on this and thank you in advance..

Apple won’t release IOS 7 with the Ipod Touch 4g because of the RAM of the iPod touch 4G. The iPod touch 4G only holds 256 MB of RAM while other devices hold 512 MB of RAM which is the requirement of IOS 7.
