Jailbreak iOS 8.1 And Set Passcode Without Bootloop, Updated Pangu 1.1 Coming

iOS 8, How to Jailbreak 8.1 And Set a Passcode Without Bootloop, Updated Pangu 1.1 Coming - As of late, there have been no shortage of miracles in the world of iOS 8 jailbreaking, and today’s no exception. Recently, Pangu once again swooped in to save the day, as the team released the first Untethered iOS 8 jailbreak for 8.1, meaning that the downtime between the team’s 7.1 through 7.1.2 utility and their all-new 8.1 jailbreak was merely one month. However, the aforementioned jailbreak for iOS 8.1 hasn’t been without its fair share of complexities - for example, Cydia isn’t bundled with the utility and, until now, jailbreakers haven’t been able to set passcodes and reboot without their devices entering a dreaded infinite bootlop, forcing a restore. However, as we just alluded to in the preceding sentence, things are starting to look up for the iOS 8 jailbreak, certainly more so than last year’s equally rough iOS 7 jailbreak launch, which didn’t take place until December. Those who have jailbroken 8.1 can now officially set a passcode/longer password, as well as fully enable Touch ID post iOS 8.1 jailbreak on the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3. However, that’s not all, the good news isn’t over yet - continue past the break for details on an all-in-one jailbreak 8.1 utility that will be bundled with Cydia!

In addition to following the above video to ensure that you steer clear of any of said bootloop problems, simply follow the quick set of instructions found below.

Conditional Step 4. If, and only if, you didn’t install the updates prior to setting a passcode and you’re experiencing the bootloop issues, enter recovery mode, restore to 8.1, re-jailbreak, install Cydia and, finally, restore from your backup.
