Yes, it’s true, there’s not an iOS 8.2 jailbreak and it’s likely to stay that way, at least for the next few weeks - this is actually a good thing.
Hypothetically speaking, say TaiG released their new jailbreak for 8.2 (which is what they were actually planning on doing, see the below quote), with iOS 8.3 on the horizon and slated for potential release in April, Apple would have adequate time to fully patch the new hypothetical TaiG 8.2 jailbreak with 8.3 and we’d end up in the exact same situation we’re currently in.

If TaiG were to release an 8.2 jailbreak, it should have been done about three weeks ago, which is when iOS 8.2 was issued to the public. Too much time has gone by and the window for an adequate release is rapidly closing as iOS 8.3 draws near.

On 27th March, TaiG Jailbreak Team held the 2015 Mobile Security Summit (MSS) in China Beijing. The purpose of this summit was to create a platform for world top jailbreak developer to have an open communication, and then prepare for the better untethered jailbreak in the future.
The development and release of a jailbreak tool was restricted to several factors, however what TaiG Jailbreak Team wanted is to release the jailbreak of iOS 8.2 as soon as possible.
But at present, rumors about TaiG Jailbreak Team has already released the iOS 8.2 Jailbreak Tool were spreading in the internet. Any information outside of TaiG Jailbreak Team official news channel should not be trusted.

While somewhat hard to decipher, given its somewhat broken nature, TaiG had originally planned on jailbreaking 8.2 promptly following its release. However due to unforeseen, and unknown (as TaiG didn’t elaborate), circumstances, the group opted to wait to release their new jailbreak, undoubtedly for iOS 8.3.
Not Ideal, But it Will Help!
Although certainly not ideal for most, this decision will ultimately ensure the longevity of their jailbreak, as it likely won’t be immediately patched as it would have if released for iOS 8.2.

Yes, but only on public firmwares equal to or lower than 8.1.2. What’re you on?
If you are iOS 8-8.1, the Pangu8 servers seem down for now, so you can’t access the exploit files necessary to download and jailbreak. Use TaiG and it works just as fine.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe 8.2 Beta 2 is jail breakable but downgrading firmware would be rather useless.

If you want to update, then wait until the jailbreak is released…. From there, create a backup, restore to a clean build of 8.2 (or 8.3, depending), jailbreak and restore from backup. We’ll cover it all in our tutorial. Stay tuned
