P0sixninja Shares His Disdain Of iOS 6.1.3 And Confirms iOS 7 Jailbreak

P0sixninja Mentions iOS 6.1.3 And Confirms iOS 7 Jailbreak
p0sixninja iOS 7 Jailbreak 6.1.3Today, following p0sixninja’s recent and rather secretive tweet regarding the future, the prominent hacker sent another tweet to his followers that’s caused some excitement amongst the jailbreak community. With Apple’s evasi0n-crippling iOS 6.1.3 release, the company effectively patched the key vulnerabilities the evasi0n jailbreak tool relies upon to achieve an UnTethered iOS 6.0 through 6.1.2 jailbreak for all current iDevices. Soon, thanks to p0sixninja, it seems as though the jailbreak world will get the boost it needs - post 6.1.3 with a new upcoming iOS 7 jailbreak utility.

As we’ve stated in quite a few articles, p0sixninja will likely develop a new bootrom-based tool to ensure the future of jailbreaking for years to come, as bootrom jailbreaks can only be patched by Apple via new hardware releases.

Although most news surrounding p0sixninja and the creation of the next major jailbreak has been based on conjecture, today have solid evidence that the hacker’s work is underway.

In a concise statement, p0sixninja confirmed that he’s “ready to get this #openjailbreak off the ground”. Although the iOS security expert has essentially verified his plans to develop a new jailbreak for iOS 7, as 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 are too minor of releases to warrant the use of additional precious and scarce iOS vulnerabilities, it will certainly take p0sixninja some time before he’s ready to release anything to the public.

As part of a solo mission to preserve jailbreaking’s future, p0sixninja will likely wait to push out a new public jailbreak utility until after the next iPhone and iOS 7 are both released and made widely available.

woohoo… i’ve just found the way of JB ios 6.1.3 here: the-tin-dung.com !!!

  2. Chessplayer says:

Hey This is a task for the smartest of you. The one who tells me how to make an Ipad 3 stuck on 6.1.3 with the beautiful apple logo on it work again is just amazing great!!! So DFU mode, restore 6.1.3 with itunes simply does not work. I think because the owner of the Ipad 3 A5 tried to unlock the GSM firmware. I’m quite sure there is no solution right now. may be a IOS 7 jailbreak may work ….

  3. Leonardo says:

I have iPhone 4s with 6.1.3 and I have blobs saved for 5.1, is there a way to downgrade?

  4. Nyew says:

When the jailbreak on ipad 2. 6.1.3

  5. Moto says:

So… If its a boot rom jail break isn’t that a better reason to release it on 6.1.3 since they can’t patch it?

    • Tyler says:

SHUT UP ABOUT 6.1.3 holy shit! be thankful they are even making jailbreaks for your sorry asses. i’m on 6.1.3 and its a tethered jailbreak, doesn’t bother me at all! If they wanted to waste their time with a stupid update that you idiots updated to, it would take even longer for an iOS 7 jailbreak to come out!

  6. J says:

Ok so should i stay on 6.1.3? I was lucky to buy my i5 on this version. I hear alot of IOS7, should i stay here or ……?

    • Anthony P says:

Stay on 6.1.3, I made the stupid move to ios7 for my iPad and after less than a day I sorely miss my former jailbroken device. To me, this just plain sucks. I don’t see anything, repeat anything, that is an improvement over my jailbroken 6.whatever. Save your time. After using this all day, I wouldn’t even update when the official 7 comes out.

  7. jesus says:

cuando sale el jailbreak 6.1.3 para ipad mini?

  8. a2cntthboy says:

People we have waited before for a new jailbreak I myself am happy to wait as long as I have to because I love being able to do with my phone what I want not what Apple says I have to do.

  9. Ssmith29861 says:

I know most of these comments are concerning the distain for iOS 7, and everything it brings. Why don’t jail breakers come out with different types of software for users that bypasses the blocks on downgrading, instead of working on new jailbreaks and continually telling the Evasion community that there will be time before the next jailbreak? It would allow more people to get into the community, and get rid of the problem of upgrading to an unusable firmware. Just a thought.

  10. laurie patterson says:

just think as of september/october we will all have jailbroken iphones

  11. Jeannette says:

Well yes, I’m Dutch and read since: don’t upgrade to iOS 6.1.3, I’m sorry, I’m not so professional, the reaction in the messages seem from people with knowledge and by that I don’t understand the most negative reactions. I use iPhone 4S - jailbreaked on 6.1.2. I stay there to the moment that evasiOn command new rules to upgrade the jailbreak. For those accidentally on 6.1.3… I don’t read how to downgrade but is it possible.. Give it a change. Thanks for reading

    • eatmydiction says:

for me it isn’t possible to downgrade to a earlier version, because the shsh blobs(files you need for the downgrade) aren’t properly saved by cydia.

    • Marctraider says:

I’m also Dutch and from what I’ve understood there is no possibility to downgrade from 6.1.3 back to 6.1.2 or w.e. Not on the latest iDevices anyhow.

  12. nmoreman says:

I read thru these comments and can’t believe you people can’t give up the “when is the jb for 6.1.3 coming’ Did you ever think that if iOS 7 is released, and is jailbroken, you could update to that and forget 6.1.3 and .4 and go to 7??? I need to quit reading these comments, is driving me nuts, not to mention the op

    • Jack Dunaway says:

Well if you have an iPod Touch 4G on iOS 6.1.3 then you can’t update to iOS 7 and you can’t untether your device

    • JJ says:

Or an iPhone 3GS. Those of us that got stuck on 6.1.3 with no SHSH blobs for 6.x saved thanks to Cydia’s issues CAN’T get iOS 7! I hope that SOMEONE will JB 6.1.3 for us once it’s safe to do so, like after iOS 7 is released.

    • heavypoly6 says:

Also, not EVERYONE likes iOS 7. I particularly hate it. It’s a completely new and different iOS that can potentially render all past jailbreak tweaks useless, making more work for jailbreak creators and tweak developers to update to the new OS than if they just worked on an old and familiar iOS. iOS makes the phone look like a toy, kills battery, and is just a terrible mash up of what the jailbreak community has come up with. It looks like a bad theme out of Cydia.

  13. Tyson says:

Personally, I feel like a golden charm at the moment. With time and effort put into this jailbreak by p0sixninja is certainly a thrill. I can’t wait until his hard work is paid off. Once again, thank you p0sixninja.

  14. Boyhpi says:

    Good job bro

  15. Mike Agnew says:

It seems that some of these people went straight to the comments and asked a question that would have been answered if they had actually read the story. I personally am just very grateful that very talented individuals like p0sixninja are out there spending thier time and efforts creating jailbreak’s for us. So the least we can do is read the information released thoroughly.

  17. thomas says:

is there going to be a jailbreak for 6.1.3 for the iphone 3gs and 4 AFTER the ios 7 jailbreak? im hoping there is.

    • JJ says:

      YES PLEASE!!

      • ryan says:

Thomas & JJ you and you’re I WANT IT AND I WANT IT NOW LOT, Please just go away for now, come back mid September, JB for 6.x.x + 7.x should be available about then, in the meentime will YOU’s STOP clogging these forums with your pleads for 6.x JB ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN (for now Thank You!!!!!! & personaly i’m on 6.1.4 and desperate for a JB but hey if its free and these people are going to put lots of time into it then the least they are due is some peace to do their ‘Work’

  18. thomas says:

is there going to be a jailbreak for 6.1.3 for the iphone 3gs and 4 AFTER the ios 7 jailbreak?

  19. sapi kang says:

i think it is impossibe to jailbreak ios 6.1.3……..

  20. sapi kang says:

i think its is impossible to jailbreak ios 6.1.3…………….

    • Locked in apple says:

Just think, if the jailbreak vunrability isn’t patched in ios7 then it sure as hell can’t be patched in 6.1.3 meaning the iOS7 jailbreak should work for 6.1.3

  21. Me says:

Isn’t it amazing how ignorant people are. I mean, some people are still asking “why no Jb for 6.1.3. Come on people, learn to read.

  22. SaLahddine says:

blah blah blah blah, no JB for ios 1.6.3, no downgrade a big fail

  23. LadyNapier says:

@Nyew If you’ve been following this you would know the ONLY current way to JB the 6.1.3 is to use the 6.0 firmware. That’s what we’ve all been talking about even THIS article explains that the 6.1.3 relese patched the vulnerabilities evasi0n exploded for the UTJB that was running on 6.0 to 6.1.2. p0sixninja has not/most likely will not release any of the JBs he’s working on until after iSO7 gets released latter this summer most liking after the launch of the iPhone5s which is said to be coming out at the beginning of September (also when iSO7 will be launched.) I mean come on all you have to read is the first and last paragraphs to get that much info!!

  24. Steveo says:

Wicked ios7 jail break looking forward to that in the near future lol

  25. Nyew says:

    And the iphone 4s 6.1.3?

  26. Nyew says:

Still waiting on ipad 2 6.1.3..when is the jailbreak?

  27. The disappointer :P says:

No failbreak… Sorry to disappoint you but its probably nothing more than just a little artwork created in PHOTOSHOP… Im neither a dev nor a media designer nor a photographer but even i could create such a pic within 3 minutes HOWEVER HE DIDNT POST THAT PICTURE TO MAKE FALSE HOPES OR TO FOOL ANYBODY I GUESS ITS JUST TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON IT AND THAT APPLE WILL NEVER DEFEAT THEM!!!!!! NOT EVEN WITH IOS 3796!!!
