Before getting into the latest intriguing jailbreak-related news from p0sixninja, the staff at Jailbreak Evasion iOS wanted to wish our readers a happy belated Labor Day. Over the weekend, famed iOS hacker and security expert p0sixninja sent a somewhat reassuring tweet to his followers pertaining to the next post 6.1.3 jailbreak utility for iOS 7. Although all prominent devs on the iOS scene have confirmed that they will not release a tool to jailbreak 6.1.3, p0sixninja remains adamant about developing the next UnTethered utility to jailbreak iOS 7.
Previously, p0sixninja (quondam leader of the once-legendary Chronic Dev Team) took it upon himself to develop the next major jailbreak as a solo act. Since his initial announcement some months ago, and some minor talk regarding his Open Jailbreak project, the hacker has been relatively silent. During this time, unbeknownst to us, p0sixninja has apparently been operating in stealth mode.
As mentioned before, over the weekend, p0sixninja sent a tweet directed to planetbeing (one of the four members of the evad3rs Dev Team).

Although the tweet, in all its glory, is embedded above, the gist of it is as follows: p0sxininja jokingly said that planetbeing “better not be stealing any of” his ideas because he’s still in the research and development process of creating the next jailbreak for iOS 7.
Also, for those of you who will inevitably ask, any future jailbreak tool for 7.0 will likely include support for older devices on 6.1.3 - the iPhone 3GS and the iPod touch 4G in particular, both of which are no longer supported by Apple in iOS 7.

It seams none of you appreciate the hard work the dev teams do for us, because they don’t have to anything for us. So why don’t people quit arguing over yesterday’s news be patient. Anyone who waiting for untethered jb for 6.1.3, please try to downgade to previous version like 5.1.1 or 6.1.2 that u had use. I think this’s only one way to jailbreak by using sn0w breeze to downgrade. And it’s work for me.

it does work but only if u saved your devices SHSH blobs for 6.1.2 or below
You can downgrade by restoring your iphone to a ipsw of ios 7 beta 1 and then it will give you the ability to restore your phone to ios 6.1.2 because the beta is not a official release
It is impossible to downgrade to iOS 6.1.2 Apple won’t let you. You go ahead and try it with your own devices and you will get a message telling you that you can’t install that restore.

Where oh where have you heard that a jailbreak would be ready tomorrow? The only news I’ve heard is that work will begin on a new jailbreak after iOS 7 is released and there is no guaranty that iOS 7 will go gold tomorrow, so you sir, are making shit up. Don’t put words in peoples mouthes especially words that have never been mentioned. Apple and nobody else has been able to confirm iOS 7 will be released tomorrow, only of the press event. And as I already stated, work on a new jailbreak will be started when iOS 7 is released. I am stating facts that have been reported and not wishful thinking or assumptions.

Oy. These comment threads are making me lose my faith in humanity. I’m fine with YouTube comments (yes, really), but THIS is just too much. There are people who come here demanding a jailbreak, that the developers must give it to them or else. Then there are the people who insist that the jailbreak developers owe them nothing, and that they deserve nothing. I don’t think I am part of that first group, but sometimes I feel like I am. It makes me feel ashamed that I ever wanted a jailbreak in the first place, and still want one. Then there are the people who ask stupid questions. There are the people who won’t even construct full sentences. And then there are the people who come in here to randomly bash Samsung. I don’t really like Samsung myself, but I don’t understand why everything on the Internet has to be an us or them situation. Maybe it’s because I am not personally affected by racism or 9/11, or whatever they argue about on YouTube. Whereas this really DOES affect me. But hang on a minute. This is all for a phone. I can’t say for certain that other people are too emotionally invested in it, but I certainly am. I really need to zoom out and say to myself that it’s just a fucking phone. I know this post will probably get lost in the noise. But if it means one thing to one person, it will be that I am going to stop following technology. There are bigger things in life to worry about. Goodbye. Thank you for inadvertently helping me come to this conclusion.
Finally, someone that gets it. Its just a phone but much more. But just because it’s jailed doesn’t make it crap. LOL. I completely agree with you Jon Levi and the only reason why I reply to posts here is because I am personally offended by the stupidity and the mentality of people here. First of all iOS 7 won’t be for your device.
Zack, you contradict yourself in your post, first you say there is an untethered JB called snowbreeze, then you go on to say its tethered for the 3GS. I think you will find its semi tethered. My 3GS is happily untethered jail broken for a few years now by limerain if I remember correctly. I may have used a custom IPSW with redsnow though also. It’s been so long since I JB my 3GS I don’t remember now. I will shut up now I’ve said my piece, as all I was trying to do was point out that there is NOT a fully untethered JB for 6.1.3 at the CURRENT time. Take care all & write what you like about me. I hope all you pesky impatient kids realize that there will not be a jailbreak available next Tuesday or even the following Tuesday. Right now he is in research and development. It’s probably going to take three or more months after the release of iOS 7 and he’ll probably hold off on his JB till apple slows down its update cycles like they did when iOS 6 came out. If we use iOS as a reference, the next jailbreak won’t be out till February or March 2014.

Easy answer, NO! If you do not have obsolete hardware, hardware that won’t update to iOS 7 then you’ll have to update to iOS 7. If you can’t because your hardware won’t go beyond 6.1.3 then yes, from what I’ve read, there will be a jailbreak. If you don’t like iOS 7 then give me your worthless iPhone 5 and buy an android. I’ll update it to iOS 7 and jailbreak it and love the hell out of it.

They won’t release a jailbreak until the official gm version is released because apple would correct the bugs that they used to create the jail break. I swear people are getting dumber by the day

Why don’t you restore it? Afraid you are going to lose jailbreak? What good is an unusable jailbroken device? Just restore it and go back to the enjoyment you got from your device pre jailbreak. My iPhone 5 is on iOS 7 beta 6 and it jailed and I love the hell out of it. It is far from being worthless.

It’s called redsn0w and it jailbreaks all a4 devices iPod and iphone4 and 3GS. If you would do your research and look it up you wouldn’t be asking about it now.
NOONEMORE, I have done my research. I own a 3g & a 3GS fully jail broken & a iPhone 4 which is a tethered jail broken phone with redsnow. Which of course means that I have to reboot with redsnow every time the battery runs out or I install certain tweaks from cydia. So it is not really a jailbreak as I see it cause I can’t use safari or ANY of my tweaks when battery dies & i recharge when I’m out & about. I may be being pedantic but a jailbreak to me just works every time you turn your phone on, you shouldn’t have to run home every time your phone reboots to get half your tweaks & apps to work. I think it’s great there is a semi tethered JB by redsnow & think the guys do a great job but a tethered jailbreak in my opinion is not a proper jailbreak.

Littlerocko is right, a google search show that there currently is no untethered jailbreak for 6.1.3 so you learn to use google and most of all, learn to read before making dumbass statements. At least nobody has made the mistake of calling their jailed iHardware junk or worthless.
