Best Cydia Tweaks 2014 iOS 7, Top 10 List For iOS 7.0.4 Jailbreak Evasion7

Top Cydia Tweaks 2014 for iOS 7, Best Tweaks from Jailbreak Evasion7Top Best Cydia Tweaks 7.0.4 JailbreakWhat would jailbreaking 7.0.4 (using evasi0n7) be without the incredible Cydia developers on the scene who produce amazing tweaks? Although we mean that (mostly) as a rhetorical question, we’ll answer it anyway: flavorless and boring. In light of that fact, today, the staff of Jailbreak Evasion7 is proud to bring you our first top Cydia list of 2014. If you’re lost and not quite sure which packages and tweaks you should download from Cydia for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you’ve come to the right place.

Before you delve into the list of splendid tweaks we’ve outlined in this article, your device must already be Jailbroken on some iteration of iOS 7, whether it be 7.0, 7.0.2, 7.0.3, or the latest public firmware, 7.0.4.

If you have yet to jailbreak your iDevice, we strongly advise following our in-depth evasi0n 7 Untethered Jailbreak 7.0.4 tutorial for all iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone models.

In addition to reading the list of tweaks below, we advise watching popular iOS YouTuber iCrackUriDevice’s video, which is embedded above, for a visual representation of said list.

  1. Activator is a common tweak that’s installed as a dependency on nearly every jailbroken device. However, in spite of its popularity, Activator’s incredible functionality is often overlooked. The tweak is capable of setting various triggers (i.e. pinching icons at the home screen) to perform specified tasks such as locking the device, controlling settings/modifying and more.
  2. f.lux manipulates the temperature of lighter colors on a device at nighttime to cause significantly less eye fatigue and enables “power users” to tweet, text, email and surf the web until the wee hours of the morning.
  3. Barrel species up your homescreen by adding custom page transitions. In having such a long history as being a “default” tweak, Barrel has made quite a reputation for itself on the jailbreak scene.
  4. BioProtect is decent, but BioLockDown is even better! Although both tweaks generally provide the same functionality, being an intuitive method for securing apps using biometric fingerprint data, the latter is preferred by the staff of Jailbreak Evasion7 for a number of reasons, all of which can be found in iCrackUriDevice’s dedicated video on the tweak that’s embedded below.
  5. FlipControlCenter is, without a doubt, the best tweak for modifying stock Control Center. The tweak can be obtained in Cydia by adding the following repo in the “Manage” section: rpetri.ch/repo
  6. Infiniboard extends iOS’ springboard, vertically! Once the Inifniboard tweak is installed on iOS 7, your device will gain the ability to place and scroll apps vertically, in addition to the traditional horizontal method.
  7. Infinidock is similar to the previous tweak in the sense that it allows users to place a limitless number of apps in the dock and scroll between them vertically.
  8. Bloard simply provides a toggle in the Settings app to enable a black keyboard system-wide that, like f.lux, causes significantly less eye strain during nighttime usage.
  9. MyWi enables bluetooth, wired and Wi-Fi tethering in the best interface available from similar solutions. Moreover, the MyWi 7 app also attempts to conceal usage from carriers in order to prevent the loss of unlimited data plans.
  10. My3G is a simple tweak from the same developers as MyWi that essentially tricks applications into believing a device is running over Wi-Fi, when in reality it’s connected via cellular data. This is mostly useful to evade (pun definitely intended) various cellular app restrictions, primarily the 100mb download restriction put in place by the App Store.

Jailbreak Evasion7’s 11th Tweak, Editors Choice: With all of our staff being longtime jailbreakers, the tweak all we are most impressed with isVirtual Home, which was the first tweak available for the iPhone 5S and its new Touch ID sensor.

Cydia Tweaks Top 2014 ListIn addition to removing wear and tear on the home button by using the Touch ID sensor to interpret long and short taps on the button, not physical clicks, and either act as a single or double press, Virtual Home can also completely bypass the lockscreen if the owner places a finger on the sensor that’s registered through Touch ID.

With Saurik having recently updated Cydia Substrate to include support for iOS 7 and A7-based devices, the number of new tweaks propagating Cydia should increase exponentially in the coming days and weeks.
