Apple Releases iOS 7.1.2 - Jailbreak 7.1.2 UnTethered By Way Of Pangu

Apple Releases iOS 7.1.2; Jailbreak 7.1.2 UnTethered by way of Pangu - Today, following Apple’s release of iOS 7.1.1 over two months ago, the company issued iOS 7.1.2 to the public for all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models. While the update itself is relatively minor, offering mostly bug fixes and security enhancements, it does correct a severe issue with email attachments not encrypting properly. While bug fixes are certainly nice and usually a welcome addition to any release, jailbreakers typically avoid iOS updates, seeing as they’ve historically patched the vulnerabilities exploited in past utilities. Now, with last week’s unexpected Pangu jailbreak utility, the majority of jailbreakers are undoubtedly wondering whether it’s possible to jailbreak 7.1.2 UnTethered using Pangu. The answer, a surprising yes, you can jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 fully Untethered!

Can I Jailbreak iOS 7.1.2 Via Pangu?

Jailbreak 7.1.2 Pangu

That’s right, iOS 7.1.2 is fully jailbreakable by way of Pangu; the update doesn’t patch the vulnerabilities the new Chinese jailbreak exploits to achieve an UnTethered jailbreak.

Apple was likely too busy implementing the existing changes in iOS 7.1.2 and the company will save the jailbreak patches for another release, likely 7.1.3.

While we’ll have additional coverage on the topic very soon, and we’ll certainly update our guides, if you’re interested in updating to take advantage of this opportunity while it lasts, we strongly advise following our Pangu 7.1.x tutorial, as it will still function on, and jailbreak, 7.1.2.

Is there a list of supporters who live in Staten Island, New York that I CAN GO TO who is knowledgeable in jb my iPhone 5 for me? I am not confidant in myself in case I run into a problem? I just wouldn’t know what to do. I need help ! Please! Somebody?

I’m sorry, you really shouldn’t do it unless you know what you are doing. I suggest that you take the time to do your research and learn everything you can about jail breaking and computers and then come back to this. If you don’t know what you are doing you’ll more than likely ruin your iDevice and you sure won’t get any of the satisfaction that comes from knowing what you are doing and how to fix things on your own should you mess things up. This is more a hobby and you can’t just jump in with out at least learning how to use iTunes to restore and learning the basics of using your computer. Also once you have gained confidence from learning everything you can about your iDevice you can jailbreak and then in cydia before you do anything you should study the FAQ pages on the Cydia app home screen that walks you through everything. This is not something that anyone just jumps in with out taking the time to learn, we all had to do it so that means you gotta do it too.

Thankyou Keith for taking the time out w that info. I’ve been trying to figure this all out, but to me, it is confusing I guess cause I’m not computer savi or iPhone smart n probably never will be :(. I’ve come along way but I will keep trying n I will check the FAQ on cydia. I appreciate anything else u can advise me to do . Ty

With a can’t attitude you won’t but with an inquisitive can do attitude you’ll learn if you want to learn that is. A lot of people would rather spend their life at da club or with a gang or partying, jail breaking and tinkering with computers is mostly for people that don’t spend much time out socializing. You have to spend several hours everyday toying with computers and mobile devices because you enjoy it in order to get anything out of it. I started Toying with computers when I was a kid with an Atari 800 computer and a white pages phone book size book filled with nothing but code for programs written in Basic that I had to type manually into the computer and at the very end type run and press Return to Execute for programs that were mostly text based. That was fun for me when I was 9 back in 1979. That is what started my love affair for computers and all things electronic. So you see it’s a hobby that takes a lot of your time that you have to give. You have to be excited and really into electronics. I’m not saying don’t bother if your not all these things, I’m just saying take the time to figure things out on your own and understand why people don’t like holding hands in this hobby, you either have the fire or you don’t. A lot lf people want to jailbreak but don’t really know what that means and don’t take the time to learn, they just expect people that do to do all the work for them so they look cool. Good luck, what ever you decide to do, don’t turn into a dunce that tries to make others do everything for them.

Erase all data from phone and restore to jailbreak but After Jailbreak with Panagu I am observing weird thing is like a loop.. Which should happen only at time of some data transfer are they spying on our phone data.. Be carefull

  4. Mike says:

My phone is already jailbroken and I know I have to re-jailbreak to upgrade. But will re-jail breaking delete all my stuff I already downloaded via jailbreak? Or will it all stay?

  5. Elmrond says:

Pangu works fine on Mac. You just need to close itunes after pangu finds your device. I mean close the program not just the window. i just used force quit. Also close and remount/open Pangu each time you use it. I have JB’d iPhones 5 x 2 and a iPad 2 and an iPad Mini. Works good, last a long time…….further more its user experence is much better and quite a bit faster then the Evasion? The Chinese, wow who knew…

  6. Susan says:

Can i now jb my iPhone 5 on a Mac computer successfully AND do I need to upgrade to the newest version 7.1.2? Somebody please answer questionS.

    • PanguNotWorkinginApple says:

Hi Susan, as I wrote my experience below, I wasn’t able to jailbreak my iphone 5 with Pangu 1.1 for Mac. But I jailbroke it successfully with Pangu 1.1 for Windows. Thus I would make sure to have a windows laptop nearby, just in case Pangu for Mac doesn’t apply jailbreak successfully. Please apologize my English.

  7. PanguNotWorkinginApple says:

Hi All, I used pangu 1.1 to successfully jailbreak iOS 7.1.2. Pangu 1.1 has been released for working on both Windows and Mac OS (at least it is supposed to), and I just wanted to share my personal experience with jailbreakers community: I tried three times to jailbreak iphone 5 7.1.2 with pangu 1.1 for Apple (Mac os X), and was unsuccessful. Then I switched to Windows OS, I used pangu 1.1, and I managed to jailbreak my iphone successfully. Long story short, Pangu 1.1 for Mac osX users is not working properly to jailbreak ios 7.1.2, at least for me.

I have updated my iPhone 5s and iPad2 to IoS 7.1.2 and jail broken both using Pangu V.1.1 without any problem !

Facil sem dor, nunca foi tão facil! Afinal o Activator e compativel ou não?

  11. Keith E. Whisman says:

I updated my iPhone 5$ and iPad Air to iOS 7.1.2 and then used the links to Pangu 1.1 and rejailbroke both devices. I did have issues with my iphone that went away when I turned find my iPhone off and closed iTunes. There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t update to iOS 7.1.2 as it’s always better to has as many bugs fixed as possible.

  12. irfan hussain says:

Just upgraded into 7.1.2 it’s just a minor update and its for every iPhone. It will take less than 10min to upgrade as far I am running it it’s quite good and all ur data will be as it was before

  13. Irfan says:

    Is it safe
